With Love
Animal welfare is something beautiful and joyful and does not exclude other charities. Rescuing an animal from the street and experiencing this gratitude is one of the most beautiful moments in our lives.
We are a colorful mix– just like our foundlings– but we have one thing in common, we are absolute dog persons, bursting with positive energy, dedication and passion.
And so, in the spring of 2019, we set up our longed-for sanctuary for animals, in Nafplio on the
Peloponnese.
The place of refuge, protection and above all help for any dog in need.
We rescue street dogs from their misery.
We nurse them back to health.
We provide for veterinary help and any kind of diagnostics (CT, MR, laboratory, ultrasound and X-ray).
We have complex operations performed.
We vaccinate and rid dogs of endo- and ectoparasites.
We neuter the animals!
We place and prepare dogs for their big journey.
We set up external feeding stations and look after the free-roaming and free-living dogs.
In addition, we try to educate the population about the abuses and misunderstandings.
Animals have rights!!!
24/7 is our motto, not just a number.
About Us
Words from our founder
Animal welfare is a personal matter for me, but it’s much more than that. It is the ability to empathize with other living beings – how they feel and think and so much more.
It’s empathy I’m talking about, and it’s the word I would use to define myself.
It is the strongest motivation for me to advocate for the weak and those who are looking for help.
Nadja Aichbichler, Founder
I was
trained to be a doctor but I found my calling in animal welfare.
2017
I began working on Peloponnes as we came across a flock of puppies on the streets.
Vegetarian
out of conviction. I cannot reconcile it with my conscience to participate in the misery of our farm animals.
